Get Help to Improve Your Stream
Do you have a stream in your backyard? Are you interested in completing a project to improve habitat for salmon? You can receive grants for projects that range from $2,000 to $200,000 through the Backyard Habitat Grant Program! Eligible projects must be located on private property in Kitsap County. The program provides funding for:

Streamside plantings

Noxious weed removal

Stream enhancement projects such as placement of large woody material and stream gravel
- Removing undersized culverts, old dams or concrete structures to improve fish passage
